Hear Regal Beezers at the Farmers Market, twice

By From page A8 | November 26, 2013

The swinging piano and violin music of the Regal Beezers returns to Davis twice in the coming week.

From 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, the band will play for shoppers at the pre-Thanksgiving Davis Farmers Market. They’ll be at the market shed in Central Park, Fourth and C streets.

At Saturday’s Farmers Market on Nov. 30, the group will play from 9 a.m. to noon on the oak tree deck.
The Regal Beezers — Donna Wren (violin, harp and vocals), Ken Kemmerling (piano, guitar and vocals), Jason Votaw (drums) and David Carey (percussion) — play jazz standards, Beatles, roots rock, folk and fiddle music.

Occasional musical guests include Ephraim George (clarinet), Steve O’Neill (bass) and John Burton (drums).
