The last outdoor Wine’d Down Thursday for the season will feature a band new to the Sundstrom Hill Winery. The Hey-Nows! are an acoustic-electric band that merge a power pop attitude with an Americana sensibility to create engaging music for listeners of all ages.
The band’s goal is to make the world a better place, one catchy, three-minute pop song at a time. With a combination of originals and cover tunes, they mix obscure gems by Big Star, the Old ’97s, and The Band with well-known classics by Joe Jackson, Tom Petty and the Beatles.
Formed by singer-songwriters Lee Milhous (six- and 12-string guitar) and Roger Trott (guitar & mandolin), The Hey-Nows! feature Nicolo Scozzari (lap-steel, electric guitar, & dobro), Andrew Sisco (upright-bass) and Andrew Curteman (drums/percussion).
Milhous and Trott are both veterans of the Northern California rock music scene, having recorded and played in bands from Sacramento to Redding.
Sundstrom Hill Winery, 2744 Del Rio Place, Suite 130 in Mace Ranch, will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. For more information, call 530-574-1296 or visit www.sundstromhill.com.
