‘Jungle Book’ set to open at Woodland Opera House

The Woodland Opera House will present its Theatre for Families production of Disney’s “Jungle Book, kids” opening Friday, April 4, and running through April 19. The show plays at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

The jungle is jumpin’ with jazz in the exciting Disney musical classic. Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Specially adapted from the film, this musical includes tunes, “The Bare Necessities” and “I Wan’na Be Like You.” It is perfect for the whole family.

The cast features more than 30 local children, including Kenneth Walsh as Mowgli, Emily Miller as Bagheeera, Luke Crabbe as Baloo, James Hayakawa as Shere Khan, Bailey Robinson-Burmester as Colonel Hathi, Jordan Hayakawa as Kaa and Jason Goldman as King Louie. The show is directed and choreographed by Emily Jo Seminoff. The music director is Lori Jarvey.

The Theatre for Families productions are underwritten by Jennifer Goldman, DDS and Amy Tran, DDS.
