Kim Richey brings Americana, country to The Palms

Americana singer/songwriter Kim Richey — who recently released her ninth album, “Thorn In My Side” — will present a CD release show at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at The Palms Playhouse, 13 Main St. in Winters.

The two-time Grammy Award-nominated storyteller transports listeners into the pictures she paints. Richey’s voice is pure, arresting and honest, and she is ably uses it to convey a wide spectrum of emotions. A talented performer, Richey’s music and stage presence draw audiences into the songs.

Richey has achieved great success in the country songwriting arena, including co-writing two No. 1 hits: the Grammy-nominated “Believe Me Baby I Lied” for Trisha Yearwood, and “Nobody Wins” for Radney Foster. Other songwriting contributions include songs for the Dixie Chicks, Jim Lauderdale, Brooks & Dunn and Patty Loveless.
