The upcoming August display at The Nest restaurant at the Wild Wings Golf Course will feature the works of Ingeborg Carroll.
A Second Saturday Art at The Nest reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Appetizers will be provided, beer and wine available for purchase and small gourmet plates will also be offered for purchase.

Carroll, who was born in Hamburg, Germany, lived in Los Angeles as a young adult before moving to Davis. Once settled in Yolo County, her interested in art was “rekindled.”

“I get my inspirations mostly from color and shapes, but also from nature, such as trees, flowers and clouds,” she said. “Since we do a lot of traveling, a lot of what I see and experience, gets translated onto the canvas. I really enjoy the freedom of Expressionism, mixed with a bit of abstract/cubism.”

The Nest is at the Wild Wings Golf Course, just outside the residential gate. From Davis, head west on Highway 16, past the Woodland/Watts Airport, and take the entrance to Wild Wings on the right. The Nest is on the first left at the Clubhouse and parking is available.
