The 29th season of the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre continues with the premiere of “The Value of 1″ at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6. There are additional performances at 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12.

The program is choreographed to recorded text and a wide range of music including works by Ingrid Michaelson, Matthew Ryan, Jewel, Ane Brun, Gramatik and The Alternate Routes. It work explores the legacies often, unknowingly, left behind and how people are shaped by interactions with others.

It is a multi-generational, contemporary company — with 20 dancers from the PTDT, the PTDT Apprentice Company, and The Third Stage — allowing choreographer Trokanski to reflect the wide range of human experience as we grapple with our sense of personal identity and individual importance. Thought-provoking and humorous, it’s an entertaining romp through personal and cultural perspectives and appropriate for all ages.

All performances are held at the Studio Theatre, 2720 Del Rio Place, Davis, CA.

Tickets are $12 and may be purchased in advance, at the Dance Workshop or online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/597253. Tickets also may be purchased at the door, but by cash or check only.

For more information, visit www.trokanski.org, call 530-756-3949 or email pamela@trokanski.com.
