Lonesome River Band to play at The Palms

The multi-award winning Lonesome River Band will play at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at The Palms Playhouse, 13 Main St. in Winters. Tickets are $20.

The group is celebrating its 30th anniversary. They started the party at the International Bluegrass Music Association’s World of Bluegrass convention and Awards Show, where the band took home the Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year Award for their song “Angeline The Baker.” Band leader Sammy Shelor won his fifth award as the Banjo Player of the Year. The band also includes Brandon Rickman (guitar); Mike Hartgrove (fiddle); Barry Reed (bass); and Randy Jones (mandolin).
