Madrigals concert benefits Japan

By April 14, 2011

The Davis High Madrigal Singers will perform a benefit concert at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1017 11th St., Sacramento.

The chamber choir will be conducted by Karen Gardias, Madrigal director, and visiting guest conductor Fabio Avolio, with whom the Madrigals worked while on tour in Rome last July.

After the performance, a special collection will be taken to benefit the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.
