By From page A9 | June 04, 2013

Selections from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” will be performed from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Davis Farmers Market as a benefit for victims of last week’s devastating tornado in Moore, Okla. Donations from listeners will be accepted with gratitude.

Performers from the recent Davis Musical Theatre Company’s production of “Oklahoma!,” which ended its run May 12, will present four songs from the classic show. The market is held in Central Park, Fourth and C streets.

A massive tornado killed 24 people, including several children, injured 240 others and wiped out entire neighborhoods in the community of 55,000 people.
