Celtic music comes to Mondavi on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

The six-member Celtic music ensemble Danú brings traditional Irish Christmas tunes to the Mondavi Center’s Jackson Hall at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, with “An Nollaig in Éirinn,” a program that will be drawn from a set list that includes the jig “Apples in Winter/The Frost is All Over”; a Breton lullaby, from the Brittany region of northern France, which was influenced by Celtic culture; and the Wexford Carol from County Wexford in Ireland. Fiddle, flutes, button accordion, percussion and the voice of singer Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh will be featured, and guest Irish step dancers will join in the evening’s festivities.
