In what is becoming a Mondavi Center tradition, the ODC/Dance company will once again present the ever-popular “Velveteen Rabbit” in Jackson Hall at 3 p.m. Sunday. Joining ODC/Dance, one of the Bay Area’s most acclaimed contemporary dance companies, are 10 young dancers from Pamela Trokanski’s Dance Workshop — Mia DiGenova, Kacey Hsu, Allison Luck, Kate Macaulay, Sarah Marshall, Elena Martinez, Julianna Morgan, Camilla Pedrosa, Irem Sogutlugil and Adrienna Turner. ODC/Dance’s choreographed, costumed adaptation of Margery Williams’ classic tale about a nursery rabbit has been delighting children for years. Told though music, dance and a powerful narrative, “The Velveteen Rabbit” celebrates the unique relationship between a little boy and his stuffed rabbit, and the enduring power of love. Tickets are $20-$40 general, $10-$20 for students, available at www.mondaviarts.org or (530) 754-2787.
