Texas-based indie-rock ensemble Mother Falcon with special guest Tom Brosseau will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Veterans’ Memorial Theatre, 203 E. 14th St.

Mother Falcon has crafted a signature soundscape blending rock, jazz and hip-hop rhythms with swirling horns and strings that alternately lead and support inventive vocal arrangements.

Brosseau, who will open the show, is a folk singer and songwriter from North Dakota, currently residing in Los Angeles.

The Davis Live Music Collective is a local volunteer organization formed in 2011 to curate and host high-quality live music events in Davis. They have presented established and rising acts including Camper Van Beethoven, Ben Sollee, Jolie Holland, Elephant Revival and Typhoon.

The concert is open to all ages, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $12.50 at Armadillo Music, 205 F St. in Davis, or online at davislivemusic.com. Admission will be $15 at the door.
