Bicycling films sought for local festival

Davis Bicycles! is seeking short films on bicycling and bicycling-related topics for its fourth annual film festival. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, Sept. 25.

DB! welcomes submissions that explore the wonderful world of two-wheeled transportation (tricycles and trailers also welcome) and bicycling culture. The suggested duration is three to 10 minutes. Works by Davis residents and addressing innovative bicycling projects are encouraged.

To submit a film, email a link with the film to [email protected] or send a DVD with your contact information to Davis Bicycles!

The film festival will take place Friday, Oct. 14, at the Veterans’ Memorial Theater in Davis. Proceeds will benefit Davis Bicycles!, whose focus includes bike-to-school and workplace programs, advocacy for bicycle facilities and other projects that promote bicycling as a viable mode of transportation.
