Mumbo Gumbo returns to The Palms for Youth Day dance party

By From page A9 | April 23, 2014

Northern California favorites Mumbo Gumbo will bring its big, joyful sound to a dance party — coinciding with Winters’ annual city-wide Youth Day celebration — at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at The Palms, 13 Main St.
Mumbo Gumbo is fronted by singer/songwriters Chris Webster and Tracy Walton. The band is anchored and driven by one of the longest-lived, solid and creative rhythm sections in Northern California: drummer Rick Lotter and bassist Lynn Michael Palmer. With Reggy Marks’ sax, Jon Wood’s guitar and Steve Stizzo’s keyboards fleshing out the band’s expansive sound, Mumbo Gumbo has built a reputation not just for danceability, but also for creative depth and listenability.
Tickets for $20 are available at Armadillo Music in Davis, Watermelon Music in Woodland Pacific, Ace Hardware in Winters and at the door if not sold out.
