Music at Monticello at month long

Music complements the food at Monticello Seasonal Cuisine, 630 G St., throughout the month of May.

* Wednesdays feature an acoustic open mic, hosted by Jan Peters, from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Sign-ups start at 7 p.m., or call the restaurant at 530-792-8066.

* Fridays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., hear Bob Wren on octave mandolin and violin, playing world music, Klezmer, jazz, Django Reinhardt, folk and Baroque.

* On Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m., pianist Ken Kemmerling can be heard playing classic jazz standards, popular tunes and requests.

* At Sunday brunch this Sunday and again May 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Bob and Donna Wren will perform Mozart piano and violin sonatas, as well as Baroque and Irish music.
