Hear music at Cache Creek Lavender Fest

The Deering Coretet will provide music for the 2012 Cache Creek Lavender Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in Rumsey. The festival is an annual open house at the Cache Creek Lavender Farm, an organic farm in the Capay Valley, that features tours, craft making, lavender harvesting and local music and wine.

The Deering Coretet plays an eclectic mix of Latin, jazz, blues, Celtic and world music styles. The 2012 Coretet lineup features Linda Deering on flutes, tenor and soprano saxophones; Ken Kemmerling on piano; Mike Bender on bass; and Andrew Enberg on drums.
