The Davis High School Jazz Choir, under the musical direction of William Zinn with choreography by Cara Rains, is rehearsing and raising funds for a trip to New Orleans with the Jazz Band in April.

The choir will present its 24th annual Jazz Choir Cabaret, “I Got Rhythm,” at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, and 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Emerson Junior High School, 2121 Calaveras Ave.

The event features musical numbers by the Jazz Choir accompanied by the Jazz Combo, as well as a live auction, silent auction, raffle and a meal catered by Cracchiolo’s. The Sunday show includes a special pre-show performance by the Jazz Band.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for students. Table seating is assigned on a first-come, first served basis, and seating for the Saturday show is becoming limited.

Ticket order forms for the dinner show are available at dhsjazzchoir.org and must be received by Friday, Feb. 3.

Can’t make it to Cabaret Dinner Show? Enjoy the music of the cabaret at a special concert Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. at the Brunelle Performance Hall, 315 W. 14th St.

Concert tickets, available at the door, are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. For more information, email Jody Lusebrink at jody@dcn.org.
