The Emerson-Harper Junior High Orchestras will present its annual Winter Concert at 7 p.m. Monday at the Brunelle Performance Hall at Davis High School, 315 W. 14th St. The Emerson-Harper Intermediate and Advanced Orchestras — including students from Emerson, Harper and Da Vinci Charter Academy — will perform music by Mozart, Vivaldi, Ravel, Clapton and many others.

Also performing will be Mariachi Puente, a local mariachi group featuring several students from the Davis Bridge Foundation and Spanish Immersion program, and led by Hiram and Ximena Jackson, longtime supporters of the orchestra program in the Davis public schools. School board trustee Richard Harris will be the master of ceremonies.

The concert is free, and the public invited to come, listen and celebrate the growth and achievement of these junior high musicians. For information, email music teacher Greg Brucker at gbrucker@djusd.net.
