Nominees sought for local music award

The West Valley Barbershop Chorus is seeking nominations for this year’s 23rd annual Harmony in Our Lives Award. This is an accolade of distinction given to individuals and organizations that have been significant long-term contributors to the musical enrichment of the Davis community.

The recipient is selected by a committee composed of representatives from the chorus and the Davis Civic Arts Commission based on nominations received from the public. The award is presented at the annual Harmony in Our Lives benefit show, which takes place in November at the Brunelle Performance Hall at Davis High School.

Previous award recipients include Ida Mae Harter, Richard Brunelle, John Draper, Dorothy West, Fredrick Lange, Margaret Neu, Rachel Kessler, Martha Dickman, Nancy Adams, Anne Gibbs, Larry Snyder, the Davis Musical Theatre Company, Mary Klisiewicz, Stephen Peithman, Celia Cottle, Bob Gonzalez, Karen Gardias, Vivan Meyer, Jan Coker, D. Kern Holoman, Mindy Manville and Claudia Krich.
