Voice of the Wood — a Davis group that mixes music, storytelling, movement with masks and set design — will present three performances next weekend at the Veterans’ Memorial Theater, 203 E. 14th St. Showtimes are at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18.

Co-founders Heidi Bekebrede (narrator and artwork) and Dianna Craig (masks and motion) are welcoming back Priscilla Hawkins, a cellist who was an original member of the group, but left the Davis area earlier this year, and Shawn King, a percussionist who has played with Voice of the Wood for special events.

Tickets for this “family-friendly vaudeville show” are $6, available in advance at The Artery, 207 G St., and the Davis Art Center, 1919 F St. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Davis School Arts Foundation.

For information, go to voiceofthewood.com or call (530) 753-8435.
