“Mid-Summer Music, Monticello & More,” a fundraiser for International House’s cross-cultural programs, will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Monticello Seasonal Cuisine, 630 G St. in downtown Davis.
The evening will feature Chef Tony Gruska’s hors d’oeuvres, wine-tasting and music coordinated by James Williams and Matthew Harral of the Sunday(s) @ I-House series.
Featured musical performers include Belle Francisco, Erica Ballinger, Robin Arnold and Dan Barker.
“They’re a preview of the kind of performers you will see at next season’s Sunday(s) @ I-House, premiering Oct. 28,” Williams said in a news release.
The event will include unlimited hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks from 5 to 7 p.m., complemented by an inexpensive no-host wine bar and small plate menu during the entire event. Each guest also will receive a 10 percent discount coupon good for dinner that evening or another night.
Susan Leonardi, who writes the every-other-week Wineaux column for The Davis Enterprise, will be a special guest, offering suggestions for flavorful wine and food pairings.
Advance tickets are $25 each or $40 for a couple, available at Monticello Seasonal Cuisine. Tickets at the door will be $30 and $50, respectively. For reservations, stop by the restaurant or call (530) 792-8066.
