Nine Davis artists chosen to show in KVIE Art Auction

Nine Davis artists will have their work shown and auctioned in KVIE’s Art Auction in mid-September.

One of the pieces, submitted by Cindy Wilson, received a juror award, according to a news release.

The nine pieces accepted into the auction are:

* Marieke deWaard’s “Pomegranate,” airing Sunday, Sept. 21, at approximately 6 p.m.;

* Marie Therese Brown’s “Tomales Bay,” airing Friday, Sept. 19, at approximately 8 p.m.;

* Isabel Shaskan’s “And, the Lettuce in the Pot Kept Growing,” airing Sunday, Sept. 21, at approximately 3:30 p.m.;

* Heidi Bekebrede’s “Eye Phone,” airing Sunday, Sept. 21, at approximately 4 p.m.;

* Christopher Dewees’ “Jolthead Porgy,” airing Sunday, Sept. 21, at approximately 4 p.m.;

* Emma Luna’s “What a Pair,” airing Sunday, Sept. 21 at approximately 4 p.m.;

* Marjan Kluepfel’s “California Hills,” airing Sunday, Sept. 21, at approximately 4 p.m.;

* Clyde Bowman’s “San Francisco de Asis at Sunset,” airing Sunday, Sept. 21, at approximately 4:30 p.m.; and

* Wilson’s “Bathing Beauty,” which won a juror’s award in the figurative category, airing Saturday, Sept. 20, at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Each artist’s work will be showcased in a live three-day auction broadcast on KVIE (Channel 6, check local listings) that starts Friday, Sept. 19, from 7 to 10 p.m. and continues Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21, from noon to 10 p.m.

Proceeds from the auction help support KVIE local productions and community outreach services.
