Orozco featured at family concert

By March 10, 2011

All are welcome at a family concert featuring bilingual educator, children’s author and recording artist José-Luis Orozco at 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Brunelle Performance Hall at Davis High School, 315 W. 14th St. The evening of fun, culture and music will appeal to the whole family, organizers say.

Orozco specializes in children’s music and is a featured speaker and presenter at educational conferences and seminars for teachers, parents, librarians and child care providers who seek to use music as a learning tool in multicultural classrooms, a news release said. He continues to perform for children throughout the country and world at concert halls, libraries, bookstores and schools. To learn more about Orozco, visit http://www.joseluisorozco.com.

Tickets are $10 per person, available in advance from the city of Davis Child Care Services Office, (530) 757-5695 or online at http://cityofdavis.org/cs/childcare/pdfs/family-concert-tickets.pdf. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Proceeds from the concert will help fund parenting education in Yolo County.
