‘Peter Pan’ auditions set May 16-17

By May 3, 2011

Davis Musical Theatre Company’s Young Performers’ Theatre will conduct auditions for “Peter Pan, a New Musical Adventure” at 4:30 p.m. May 16 and 17, with callbacks on Wednesday, May 18. Performances will run July 15-24.

This journey to Neverland will be under the direction of Emily Jo Seminoff and M.J. Seminoff, with musical direction by Kay Hight.

All actors ages 7-17 and 18-year-old high school students in the 2010-11 school year are eligible to participate. No experience is required, but selection is based on ability and suitability for parts.

Auditions require singing, acting and dancing at the director’s discretion, so auditioners should arrive dressed to dance, and with piano sheet music of a song they are prepared to sing. A piano accompanist will be provided; no recorded music or a cappella singing, please.

Actors must be available for all performances, and all rehearsal schedule conflicts must be indicated at the audition, so parents are encouraged to bring their calendars. For more information, visit http://www.dmtc.org/ypt/ypt.html or call (530) 756-3862.
