Pop rock singer Wolfe visits Davis

By March 28, 2011

Los Angeles troubador Henry Wolfe, former frontman of the New York City indie band Bravo Silva, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Sophia’s Thai Bar & Kitchen, 129 E St. in downtown Davis. A $5 cover will be charged.

Wolfe’s new album, “Linda Vista,” which will be released Tuesday, was produced by Nico Aglietti and Aaron Older of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, and features pop rock songs infused with hints of the chilled-out L.A. music scene. Wolfe’s music is in the vein of Paul Simon and Harry Nilsson, his publicist says.

Wolfe is No. 3 on the Los Angeles Times’ list of Artists to Watch in 2011.
