Rising country star will sing at The Grad

By
July 26, 2011 |

Nashville recording artist David Nail and his band will perform a live concert Thursday at The Davis Graduate, 805 Russell Blvd.

The Missouri-born Nail bridges the gap between traditional country and the soulful stylings of a Lionel Richie and Ray Charles, and includes among his musical influences Glen Campbell, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and the Beatles.

Nail’s latest single, “Let It Rain” is his third top-40 single on the country charts.

“I feel like regardless of where you grew up — city, small town, East Coast, West Coast or whatever — there’s something in this music that you can relate to,” he says. “They might not all be exactly the same, but everyone has those moments; the first time you left home, falling in love, losing love.

“That’s what moves me, what I can dig into.”

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale now at The Grad. For more information on David Nail, visit davidnail.com.
