Peter Case, a one-man embodiment of the musical range under the Americana umbrella and a singer, songwriter and guitar player, will bring his potent solo show to The Palms Playhouse at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $20.

Case is one of the modern-day troubadours. His complex, original lyrics fuse many of the quintessentially American musical styles — blues, rock and roll, country, soul, R&B and folk. He has recorded 12 albums as a solo artist, been nominated for a Grammy and received Album of the Year honors from the New York Times.

Tickets for the show at The Palms, 13 Main St. in downtown Winters, are available at Armadillo Music in Davis, Watermelon in Woodland, Pacific Ace Hardware in Winters and at the door if not sold out. For more information, call 530-795-1825, or visit palmsplayhouse.com and petercase.com.
