Rootstock to feature open mic night and The Bonanza Kings

RootStock is continues its open mic night from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening hosted by Sam and Lori Hawk. This is a free service to the local music community.

The open mic night provides an opportunity for musicians of all skill levels, from the beginning student to the seasoned professional, to forget the demands of public performances and practice their art among peers in a supportive environment.

On Friday, The Bonanza Kings — an eclectic country swing band fronted by singer Kari King — will perform from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 15 Main St. In addition to Kari, Bonanza King is Keith Carey (steel guitar), J. Cedar Seeger (electric guitar), Roger Kunkel (fiddle), Steve O’Neill (bass) and Nick Carvajal (drums).
