The band Deadbeats will play classic rock favorites from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at RootStock, 22 Main St. in Winters.
The event is a fundraiser for the Winters Center for the Arts, a nonprofit organization that supports visual, performing and industrial art and artists through art education by offering scholarships, promoting art exhibits and sponsoring art classes.
WCA offer a venue for artists to exhibit their works and an environment that supports creativity and appreciation of our rich cultural heritage. For more information on WCA, visit www.winterscenterforthearts.com.
Deadbeats is a local band featuring, Woodland native Dan Purtell on drums and vocals; Jim Ferrell (aka “The Doctor of Rock”) on guitar; and Yolo County farmer Bob Adams on bass. They may be joined by a surprise local guest.
