RootStock to host wine themed plein aire exhibit

The public is invited to come out and enjoy vineyard and wine themed art and to celebrate the bountiful season of spring from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, at RootStock, 22 Main St. in Winters.

RootStock will be hosting a group exhibition featuring plein aire paintings focused on vineyards in the Yolo County area. The artist’s on display feature Marie Therese Brown, Beth Winfield, Debbie Gualco, Jean Sanchirico and more.

Winters’ Weekend of Art continues with art on display around town all weekend starting at 6 p.m. Friday and running until 4 p.m. Sunday. Locations hosting art are Berryessa Gap, Rootstock, Turkovich Wines, Spin-A-Yarn and Brass Tacks, Putah Creek Café, Winters Visitor’s Center and the Clayrounds.

From noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, there will be art demos at RootStock, Berryessa Gap and Spin-A-Yarn. RootStock will feature local artist Matthew Harral conducting a wine art demo to live music. Claygrounds will be conducting a wheel throwing demo and Spin a Yarn will be hosting a kntting demo.

RootStock also has Third Thursday Music Open Mic and Fourth Thursday Poetry Open Mic.
