This season marks the 25th anniversary of choreographer Ron Cunningham as artistic director of the Sacramento Ballet, and the company will celebrate by presenting several of his best-known and most popular works. Cunningham’s “Romeo and Juliet” will be performed at the Sacramento Community Center Theater, 1301 L St., at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 18-20, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21. Cunningham has described “Romeo and Juliet” as “absolutely the best choreography of my career.” The production includes more than 200 period-inspired costumes, and action ranging from swordplay to banquets to the famous “balcony scene” between the young lovers. Tickets are $17-$70, available at www.sacballet.org or www.tickets.com, or 916-552-5800.
