Local audiences are invited to come and experience the lights, glamor and excitement of New York City with the award-winning, 90-member Sacramento Valley Chorus.
Inspired by their whirlwind trip to New York City in May, and a once-in-a-lifetime performance at Carnegie Hall, the Sacramento Valley Chorus presents “A New York State of Mind.” The chorus is led by master director Lynne Erickson.
Their performance will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Brunelle Performance Hall at Davis High School, 315 W. 14th St. Two more performances are planned, at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Sheldon High School Performing Art Center, 8333 Kingsbridge Drive in Sacramento.
A championship quartet, known as PDQ, will be featured at the Davis show. The 2013 championship quartet, Flipside, will be featured in the Sacramento shows. The shows also will include Sacramento Valley quartets Vibrance, Moment-Oh, Whatever 4 quartets and the Blue Divas.
This popular family show has been a sellout in past years. Tickets may be purchased online at www.sacvalleychorus.eventbrite.com.
