Say farewell to the Helladelics

The Helladelics will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday as part of a continued series of traditional and contemporary world music concerts brought to the Village Homes Community Center, 2661 Portage Bay Ave. East, by TimnaTal Music.

This is the group’s final Davis show since the band’s founder, Mary Hofer Farris, will be moving to the East Coast. Farris, who plays the clarinet, is joined by Michele Simon (vocals, percussion), Tom Farris (laouto) and Gari Hegedus (violin, oud). The Helladelics specialize in a mixture of Greek and Balkan music with influences from Greece, Turkey and Macedonia.
