Odd Man Out brings its eclectic mix of folk rock, country rock and Americana music to Picnic in the Park on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Davis Farmers Market in Central Park, Third and C streets in Davis.

The band — which features Lenny Goldberg, lead guitar; Bruce Koller, drums and vocals; Mike Adams, bass guitar, harmonica and vocals; and Bill Knox, rhythm guitar and vocals — has been playing together for 10 years, and its music emphasizes vocal harmonies.

Odd Man Out performs at restaurants, breweries and farmers markets throughout Yolo County and beyond. Music starts at 5 p.m. and is sponsored by the Davis Food Co-op.

The market is open from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday. There’s produce aplenty, such as melons, apricots, nectarines, peaches, plums, greens, corn, avocados, tomatoes, peppers and strawberries plus local eggs, honey, wine, beef and lamb. Crafts are at the north end of Central Park, near Fourth and C streets.

Bring a picnic from home or buy dinner from one of the many vendors. Davis Soroptimists will pour Sudwerk beer and local wine, with proceeds going to local charities.

Children’s entertainment includes Central Park’s bicycle-powered carousel, Rocknasium’s climbing structure, bounce houses, face-painting, pony rides by Greenwich Acres and balloon-maker Dilly Dally the Clown.

For more information, call 530-756-1695 or visit www.davisfarmersmarket.org.
