By May 25, 2011

The Yolo County Historical Museum invites everyone to enjoy an old-fashioned movie night out with the family at the historic Gibson House Museum on Friday, June 24. “Star Wars” will be shown on a large outdoor screen.

“Bring your lounge chairs, your picnic blankets and your appetites for what promises to be an evening of old-time movie fun,” a museum spokesman says.

Admission is free. The movie will start at dusk, about 8:30 p.m. Pizza, popcorn, soda, water, coffee, ice cream and candy will be available for $1 or under. Alcohol and smoking are not permitted.

James Berrera, a trick roper and master bull whipper, will entertain the crowd before the movie and at intermission. Museum tours will be available from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and everyone will have a chance to win raffle prizes; tickets are $1 each.
