By From page A8 | May 02, 2013

The Woodland Chamber Singers, along with artistic director Lenore Turner-Heinson and accompanist Lori Jarvey, will perform their spring concert, “Resound! Oh Voices of Spring,” at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 11, and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at the Pioneer High School Performing Arts Theater, 1400 Pioneer Ave. in Woodland.

The program runs the musical gamut from the serious and thoughtful to the hilarious — from “Prayer of the Children” and “It Takes a Village” to “The Pink Panther Theme” and the “William Tell Overture.”

The Woodland Chamber Singers is a non-auditioned chorus that is fundraising for its March trip to Carnegie Hall, where the group will appear as the featured community chorus at the New York Choral Festival Workshop.

Tickets are $10, free for children 12 and under, and may be purchased at Watermelon Music in Davis at 207 E St. or by calling 530-758-4010.
