Still time to audition for Davis Chorale

By From page A9 | September 03, 2013

The Davis Chorale, a chorus of about 60 singers who perform contemporary and traditional classical music, begins rehearsing from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, in the Choir Room at Davis Community Church, 412 C St.

The group, under the direction of Alison Skinner, is preparing for the performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony on Nov. 16 and a “Christmas in the Americas” concert on Dec. 14.

For the gigantic Ninth Symphony, the choir will join choirs from Fremont Presbyterian Church and Westminster Presbyterian Church in addition to the Camellia Symphony under the direction of Christian Baldini. That concert will take place at Fremont Presbyterian Church in Sacramento.

Auditions for prospective choir members are ongoing. All interested singers age 18 and older are invited to contact Skinner for information and an appointment (530-574-8419 or [email protected]). For more information, visit www.davischorale.org.
