Storyteller highlighted at Village Homes Performers’ Circle

By From page A9 | November 19, 2013

Adventurer, storyteller and retired child psychology professor Ed Lewis is the featured performer on Monday, Nov. 25, at the Village Homes Performers’ Circle.

Take a journey with Lewis and expect the unexpected — kayaking with killer whales in the San Juan Islands, riding on top of a truck with 18 “passengers” through the Sahara Desert, swimming with piranhas deep in the Amazon Basin, hiking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, even dancing with the daughter of the Duke of Arundel in jolly ol’ England.

The Village Homes Performers’ Circle is a free event. It features performers of all levels and creative expressions. Sign-up begins at 6:45 p.m., with sign-up performances from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. The featured act performs from 8:30 to 9 p.m.

The Performers’ Circle is held the fourth Monday of each month, except December, so this month’s session is the final gathering of 2013. Village Homes Performers’ Circle is held at the Village Homes Community Center, 2661 Portage Bay Ave. East, Davis. For information, call 530-756-3611.
