Student Film Festival at Davis High on Thursday

The fifth annual Davis Student Film Festival will run from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Instructional Performing Arts Building at Davis High School. Featuring the best works of young Davis filmmakers, it covers all the genres from satire to documentary to romantic drama.

The festival also will feature a variety of awards, from best short film to best picture and best director.

New this year will be films shot on 16mm black-and-white film, as well as films with special effects.

All ages are welcome and refreshments will be served. Tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for students, available at the door. For more information, call (530) 979-7725.
