Student short film festival returns to the Varsity

UC Davis’ 14th annual Film Festival features an array of short films produced by the departments of theater and dance, cinema and technocultural studies and art studio. Screenings are at 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, and Thursday, May 22, at the Varsity Theatre, 616 Second St. in downtown Davis.

Filmmakers include a wide range of undergraduate and graduate students from across the campus. Categories include comedy, drama, animation, documentaries and all things in between. 

Tickets are $7 per night or $10 for a two-night pass and are available starting Wednesday, May 14, at the Varsity box office. Awards will be given out on May 22 at the close of the evening.

The event is co-sponsored by the UCD department of design.
