Summer choral group to perform at St. Martin’s Church

By From page A9 | July 30, 2013

The UC Davis Summer Chorus, conducted by Andrew Hudson, will give a concert at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Martin’s Church, 640 Hawthorn Lane in Davis.

The group will present a range of vocal and choral repertoire with organist Alan Montgomery, who grew up in Vacaville and is now an advanced organ student, studying at Lincoln Cathedral in the United Kingdom.

Hudson recently completed his undergraduate studies in music at UCD, performing with several music department ensembles. He was a member of the Davis High School Madrigals group that performed at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales in 2006.

The Summer Chorus program will be about 60 minutes long, and feature diverse works from different eras by French and English composers.

A suggested donation is $5. This project has been sponsored by the UCD Chorus and the Davis Chamber Choir.
