Sundays at I-House celebrates spring

By From page A11 | March 27, 2014

The first of three evenings of the Sundays at I-House Celebration of Spring commences from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 30, with Tree-O at International House, Davis, 10 College Park.

Local performer and producer James Williams hosts the return of the very popular cross-cultural open-mic hour; along with the evening’s featured group, Tree-O. The band offers a modern take on Americana string band instrumentation. Their three voices are supported by George Haver on guitar, Rick Palkovic on mandolin and Dobro, and Jamie Knapp on bass.

Celebration of Spring will continue on April 6, 27 and May 4. This on-going fundraiser benefits International House, Davis. All ages are welcomed, and requested to come and enjoy the warm living room atmosphere of international house; one of Davis’ best venues for many kinds of cultural exchange, and enjoyment of the vast array of local community artists and performers.

This evening of entertainment is an ongoing fundraiser that continues to benefit I-house. Suggested donation for this event is $5 to $20. Beverages and snacks will be available to purchase. Any size donations are appreciated.
