Cedar Seegar will be the featured performer Sunday in the opening “Countdown to Summer” series at Sundays at I-House, which runs from 7 to 9 p.m. at International House, Davis, 10 College Park. Sign up for open-mic at 6:45 p.m.

Seeger, a veteran guitarist and songwriter, achieved early pop success before adding bluegrass, barroom rock ‘n’ roll, and country music to his repertoire. His musical journey spans the miles from teenhood on the Sunset Strip to commune life in the wilderness of Siskiyou to rural Winters, where he now resides.

Countdown to Summer festivities continue May 11, with featured artist Matthew Grasso and his Nada Brahma Ensemble, and culminating with an all-star gala May 25 that will include Clarence Van Hook, Kari King and Neo Trio, and Robert Blake’s Midnight Jazz Trio.

All ages are welcome. These evenings are an ongoing fundraiser that benefits the I-House with a suggested donation of $5 to $20. Beverages and snacks will be available to purchase.
