Taste local wines, hear local music at RootStock

By From page A11 | March 04, 2014

RootStock will debut new wines from Julie LePla, a local winery, on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. Featured will be the ’11 Barbera, ’12 Zinfandel and the ’11 Malbec. Owner Julie Larson will be present to answer questions about her wines, which come from the English Hills on the northwestern edge of Solano County.

RootStock, 22 Main St. in downtown Winters, also will kick off the Second Saturday Concert Series with rotating local artists. Performers this week are Five Three Oh!, Compass Rose, Michael Musial and Belle Francisco. A $5 donation is suggested; all proceeds go to the performers.

Tastes of olive oil from Ciarlo Olive Oil, also from the English Hills, will be offered as well.
