Teens, adults can learn portrait photography

Interested in learning studio and natural lighting portraiture? Novice and experienced photographers ages 15 and older can learn portrait photography at the Davis Art Center this summer, June 28 through July 13. The class meets from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Topics include techniques of lighting and posing, working with groups and individuals, use of studio lighting equipment and photographing with natural light. Students will have access to lighting and a professional digital camera while photographing within a studio setting, but should have their own digital or film cameras for outdoor portraiture sessions.

The fee is $100 for Davis Art Center members, $110 for nonmembers. For more information or to register, call (530) 756-4100 or stop by the Art Center at 1919 F St.
