The 8-Tracks bring their unique classic rock performance to Picnic in the Park on Wednesday, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in Central Park, Fourth and C streets. The 8-Tracks play classic rock of the early ’60s through the ’80s with a smattering of tunes from ’90s and beyond, and engage the audience using costumes, sound effects, props and games.
The Davis Farmers Market is full of seasonal produce, including blueberries, apricots, cherries, strawberries, citrus, asparagus, snap peas, bok choy, greens, lettuces, herbs, citrus, carrots and potatoes plus local free-range eggs, honey, olive oil, jams, dried fruit, nuts, flowers and garden starts.
At the food fair, Caffé Italia presents “Pizza with a Purpose” to benefit the Davis Farm to School Connection, with toppings sourced from local farmers. Other food vendors include The Buckhorn, Ciocolat, Davis Creamery, El Mariachi, Fat Face, The Hotdogger, Kathmandu Kitchen, Monticello Bistro, Mustard Seed, Raja Indian Cuisine, Santa Fe Trading Co., Steve’s Pizza and Thai Recipes.
Members of Soroptimist International of Davis host the beer and wine booth, with proceeds benefiting local charities.
Children’s entertainment includes the bicycle-powered carousel, Rocknasium’s climbing structure, Bouncing Bungalows, face painting, and balloon-maker Dilly Dally the Clown.
