Tree-O, a Davis-based contemporary and pop-flavored folk-Americana trio, is celebrating the release of its second CD, “Count Of Days.” The band will present a set of original acoustic tunes from the CD at the first Village Homes Performers’ Circle of the new year at 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The Village Homes Performers’ Circle is a free event. It features performers of all levels and creative expressions, and takes place on the fourth Monday of each month, except December. Sign-up begins at 6:45 p.m., with sign-up performances from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. The featured act performs from 8:30 to 9 p.m.

Tree-O gives a modern interpretation to Americana string band instrumentation: three voices supported by guitar, mandolin, dobro and bass, marked by the band’s signature tight arranging, vocal harmony and driving accompaniment. Tree-O is George Haver, guitar; Rick Palkovic, mandolin and dobro; and Jamie Knapp, upright bass.

The Village Homes Performers’ Circle takes place at the Village Homes Community Center, 2661 Portage Bay Ave. East in Davis. For information call 530-756-3611.
