The Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre announces its 29th season, beginning with a premiere of “The Illusion of Control” on Sunday, Nov. 10, with two more performances on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16.

The company will follow with its production of the “Davis Dance Project 2014: Life & The Meaning of Dance,” on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 7 and 8. This concert includes a lecture-demonstration and performances by PTDT and guest dancers. Funded in part by donations to the company, children 12 and younger will be admitted to this concert for free.

The company’s spring concert, also premiering new work, will open Sunday, April 6, followed by performances on Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12.

PTDT will begin the season with a short performance at the International House Festival, Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, and community members should be on the lookout for “dance flashes” throughout the season as the company continues its Dance in Public Places Program.

Auditions for the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre, the PTDT Apprentice Company and The Third Stage — a multi-generational, contemporary dance company with dancers ranging in age from 8 to 80-plus — will take place on Saturday, Sept. 7.

For more information, contact the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre at 530-756-3949 or visit www.trokanski.org.
