UCD grad part of comedy show

By June 1, 2011

John Crosthwaite, a 1997 UC Davis graduate, is among the players in Cook County Regulars, which will perform at ComedySportz in Sacramento next week. Crosthwaite is joined by Joe Flynn and Mike McKeogh in the Regulars, formed while all three were at the Theatre School at DePaul University.

The trio will be “heartfelt, hilarious and handcuffed” when they perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 10-11, a news release promises.

While studying in Chicago, the Regulars began immersing themselves in the largest improvisational theater community in the world, learning from a diverse array of actors, directors and performance artists. In 2010, they joined forces to run with scissors, cross the streams and perform improvisational comedy.

ComedySportz is at 2230 Arden Way in Sacramento. For more information, email [email protected] or call (916) 243-8541. For more on the Regulars, visit http://www.CookCountyRegulars.com.
