Vocal Art Ensemble takes listeners to the East

This holiday season, the Vocal Art Ensemble, under the direction of Tracia Barbieri, will perform the sounds of the East through song and instrumentation.

The ensemble, a 22-member a cappella choir, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 2620 Capitol Ave., Sacramento; at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Woodland Presbyterian Church, 1324 Columbia Drive; and at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at United Methodist Church of Davis, 1620 Anderson Road.

The concert also will feature exotic and ethnic dancers from Fiesta Dance N’ Fitness: Multicultural Arts & Wellness.
